S. Korea's 25th patient reconfirmed after discharge… First Reconfirmation Case in South Korea

 

A woman in her '70s who had been diagnosed with a new coronavirus infection (COVID 19) was reconfirmed six days after discharge.

Siheung-city Mayor announced the news of additional confirmed patients in Siheung City through his Facebook, "The patient is a 73-year-old woman living in Maehwa-dong who was the first confirmed patient in Siheung-si(city) (25th in S.Korea) on September 9". "I was confirmed again this afternoon."

 "She was taken to Seoul National University Bundang Hospital on the 9th, and after being treated, She was discharged on the 22nd with no additional symptoms and two test results."

The patient was diagnosed with COVID-19 after being tested with symptoms such as fever and cough while living with her son and daughter-in-law who had been to Guangdong, China.

A city official said, "An additional epidemiological investigation should be done, but it seems to be the first case of re-occurrence in S.Korea so far."
