Vietnamese authorities check the resident registration number of Korean passengers. If Koreans are native to Daegu and Gyeongbuk, they are not allowed to enter Korea without asking or asking.

Born in Daegu but living in Seoul for decades, Kim visited Vietnam on a trip and was denied entry from Ho Chi Minh Airport on the 27th because he was from Daegu.

Vietnamese authorities said that Korean passport holders were classified separately during the entry inspection, and they were not allowed to enter the country if they were between 67 and 81 after checking the second or third digits of the resident registration number. The second and third digits 67-81 of the last digit of the resident registration number are from Daegu and Gyeongbuk. Even if you are not currently living in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, if you were born here or your home is here, you will not be allowed to enter Vietnam.

Red Area is Gyeongbuk and near Daegu City.

Kim said, "It was no use to explain that I had not visited the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas recently." "If there is such a rule, VietJet Airlines should not have departed from Incheon International Airport."
